REVIVING JESSE

Image
Its been a long , long years of setting aside myself in the corner. There has been so many experiences in my life that i have not recorded because of my busy life. Its been a year and a half. Everything has change. I know this is a total renovation of my  self especially in matters concerning my work  and the people around  me.  From private  work to public work. So many things  had changed. The people I met, the people i mingled everyday. I think time for me to record all of this and I believe this year  is the best year  to write a history.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG: WORK, FRIENDS, AND LOVE

Image
ON WORK Its almost three months of getting confuse. I don’t know what to do. I never thought of having a decision like this. I am not a type of person who loves to hide what I feel. I’m candid and frank. But this time. I have to change my way of dealing anybody else. It is not because I wanted to change but because I wanted to respect and I don’t want to hurt anybody else. So sad, for how many years of the profession, be with the people you expect to defend you and support you turns to a bitter ones. I never realize that such feeling would arise where in fact I was told before that everything is fine. ….{..}  People come and go as they said. Now you meet them, laugh with them, be with them wherever they are, share with them but at the end of the day you will leave them or they will leave you. Sad but true. I believe this is what they called constant change. One thing that bothers me is that, why some people whom you trusted with are  aren't  happy of any achiev...

SURVIVING SUPER TYPHOON YOLANDA’S FEROCITY

Image
It was the most terrible experience I’ve ever had in my twenty seven years of existence in the world travelling from my home Balut Island going to General Santos City. I thought I could not see the wonderful  world that time. The dreadful feeling while on the vessel that time made me realized how difficult it is to travel. It was like you are facing death every moment you step on the vessel. You will always have the fear what life awaits as you cross the vast ocean of Balut Island and  Sarangani. The ferocious growl of the wind, the sharp and edgy drops of the rain coordinated with giant waves made my trip fearful.                           November 7, 2013 6:45 AM I woke up late in the morning feeling in pain of throat and some parts of my body due to stress of visiting a house of one of the students at night of November 6,  as part of our responsibility as teacher that you really...

For some, month of February is the most romantic month for Proms and dates which are actually very rampant. We had a very , I think exciting, challenging, and of course worth remembering post valentine celebration  with my students in college at Lipol Grace Academy located at Lipol Sarangani Davao del Sur, Balut Island. As the school’s administrator of course my task to visit every month the school and also conducted activities and one of the activities is Heart Night.                                                      ...

THE WONDERS OF BALUT ISLAND

Image
Hello everyone , I just want to share my happy moments when I was at Balut Island, a place where my wonderful childhood memories kept, I mean the place where I was born and started to dream, presenting Balut Island. Last October 2012 we had our special trip to Balut Island, then just to lessen the boredom I had some short break, I went to fishing. It was me, I was riding s small boat watching people catching fish using their fish nets. The weather  this time  was not that good. It was gloomy morning of October 2012 Balut Island can be reached through riding vessel from General Santos City. It takes (5) five  hours before you can reach this wonderful place. With regards to the people living in this place they are very hospitable. Mostly the people are native B'laans, Sangil, Marore ( Indonesians) and Cebuanos. You can open my previous blogs. HISTORY OF BALUT ISLAND

Image
BALUT AND SARANGANI HISTORY In search for the mystery that beholds a bay, a province, and a municipality bearing the name-Sarangani, we unveiled the mystic beauty of its place and people. A five-hour boat ride from General Santos City brought us to two land masses of Sarangani Municipality-the Balut and Sarangani Islands. Balut has a land area of 6604 hectares while Sarangani has 4014. Its ancestry reveals that Balut, a Maguindanaon term which means “an island” became a municipality of Davao del Sur 26 years ago. It is composed of 12 barangays mostly populated by sangils who landed here in the mid 14th century from Sangir Island, North of Indonesia, when the Dutch began to take dominion over the island. Balut’s Sangil equivalent is wanowa. Burials of Sangil Sultans, led by Sultan Panurat who were the first set...

THIS IS MY STORY

Image
THIS IS MY STORY Episode 1 It was sunset. I was sitting in the small bench watching the small waves smashing the rocks pondering what would my life be after ten years. Summer, after my graduation in high school. I saw  the clouds slowly covers the big orange sun in the south. Tears fall in my eyes because I have no assurance that I could be in college. I walk in the seashore, my feet were drenched by the water. Its coldness runs into my veins that somewhat awakens my senses. Suddenly I could feel a hand tapping at my back its my father’s hand. Perhaps, it was the most memorable day in my life when my father extended his sympathy even he was ill. I know deep  inside his heart he felt sorry for  no matter how he double his effort in finding big amount for me to go in the city for studies yet it was not enough for a huge family like us. We are  six  in the family excluding mama and him and  we  always find it difficult in looking for our daily ...

FROM THE LISTENERS’ PERSPECTIVE: APPRECIATING RMN (RADYO MO NATION WIDE) FOR ITS HUGE HELP TO THE PEOPLE IN BALUT ISLAND

FROM THE LISTENERS’ PERSPECTIVE: APPRECIATING RMN (RADYO MO NATION WIDE)  FOR ITS HUGE HELP TO THE PEOPLE IN BALUT ISLAND by : Jessemar J. Wao  Radio is one of the most influential mediums of mass media especially to the people from the mountainous areas or any other remote places all over the country . I am from Balut Island, one of the farthest island of Davao del Sur Region XI in Southern Mindanao.   A placid place like the shooting area of the The Jurrasic Park movie where too many wonderful spots and a virgin forest. People living in this area are mostly native people   like the Blaans, Manobo, Sangil, Marure an Indonesian settlers, and the Bisayan   people.   Simple   yet a very nice place for meditation because of less noise pollution and even environmental pollution because no trucks and cars and no   huge bars and concert halls purely   small forms of entertainment   like videoke karaoke, and the radio. People have only...

Image
It's me delivering my inspirational speech to Alberto Olarte Sr. National High School  Graduates of 2011 At last the long wait is over. Last  April 1, 2011 i was invited to speak before the graduating class of batch 2011 of Alberto Olarte Sr. National High School. At around 1:39 in the afternoon of the said date I inspired the graduating student through a inspirational message.  javascript:void(0) The moment I get inside the gym my feet  quivers and feels like I was just dreaming. After eight years now I return to my Alma Mater with all the pride. I was so thankful for the warm welcome of my former teachers and mentors. I owe them all my knowledge and skills even until now. The first teacher of AOSNHS I saw was sir Romulo Sarmiento, he extended a warm welcome to me, then Sir Wayne Caballero followed by Sir Yangga my former PEHM 4 instructor. At the right side a lot of teachers were sitting and so busy instructing the graduating class, after a few moment Sir Polica...

INNUENDOS: A Piece of Something for this Holy Week

Image
Life is what we make it. Whatever we do to our life, our decision, our conception and everything that we have, we are liable on it. Dreams and aspirations in life lies on our hands. It is up to us if we want to go  further or not. If we want to surrender or not. It is up to us if we want to halter our dreams, if we quit in every test and trials that GOD has given to us. Many have been tested, many have been  surrendered for  the vexation of life is immense and unstoppable. Amids all these still many people have also determined for their verve is long lasting and vast. They want to go further. Life is good. Life is sacrosanct, holy and precious. Yest it is very holy even the bulkiness, huge and mammoth  test and tribulations still considered as wonderful and sage. Though hardness and  difficulties might be experienced yet still  beautiful and wonderful life. In this holy month, have we pondered about the goodness that we experienced previous...

Balut Island A Hidden Paradise of the South

Image
I could proudly say that Balut Island is one of the beautiful places in the Philippines. Its the place where I was born.  Its like the Island from the Jurassic park movie. White beaches, and other wonderful spots are there. From General Santos City it took 5 to 7 hours before this island can be reached. Our place has diversified tribes. We also have  Indonesian and Malaysian settlers in the area.  Balut Island is surrounded by  three islands name Sarangani Island and Villalobos Island.  Our place also has a lot of variety of  fish. People living in this place are so hospitable. Wish many people could visit in this place our place and enjoy there.
