SURVIVING SUPER TYPHOON YOLANDA’S FEROCITY

Image
It was the most terrible experience I’ve ever had in my twenty seven years of existence in the world travelling from my home Balut Island going to General Santos City. I thought I could not see the wonderful  world that time. The dreadful feeling while on the vessel that time made me realized how difficult it is to travel. It was like you are facing death every moment you step on the vessel. You will always have the fear what life awaits as you cross the vast ocean of Balut Island and  Sarangani. The ferocious growl of the wind, the sharp and edgy drops of the rain coordinated with giant waves made my trip fearful.                           November 7, 2013 6:45 AM I woke up late in the morning feeling in pain of throat and some parts of my body due to stress of visiting a house of one of the students at night of November 6,  as part of our responsibility as teacher that you really...

A CALL FOR HELP : Allowing Minors Inside the Internet Cafe in Gensan ?

Image
It was schocking and disappointing when I accidentally visited an internet cafe  yesterday. When I arrived at the internet cafe not to use any of the computer but to load my phone a very shocking situation dumped in my eyes. The internet cafe was fully occupied by young and minor children. I noticed  two children quarreled each other for the other one was slapped by his friend at the back. They were shouting each other using bad words at a very young age while pressing the key board of the computer playing computer games. Another minor captured my attention he was so faint and seemed to be so mad while pressing the the  computer keyboard. I was so shocked and had in mind how could this internet cafe owner manage to see those young minors suffering from anger and madness inside their cafe because of the video games, and even mimic those foul words like "puta" and "yawa" when they hit  high scores? . My nerves and veins quivered as i heard those words. When I made re...

GENSAN CITY 'S QUEEN TUNA PARK : A Beautiful Rendezvous for Family & Friends

Image
Queen Tuna Park in General Santos City It has been my ten years in General Santos City  since  year 2002 when  I enrolled my college.  I used to walk  from General Santos City public market  going to pioneer avenue.  While walking with my friends  I used to invite them  for a short break  and fine some fresh place where i could breath fresh air.  I grew up in an island I am an "islander", I was born there in the province surrounded by water, that's why  no matter how busy  I am I could still manage myself to find a place in which seashore , sands and water  are visible.  I love fresh air every time it touches my delicate skin it lessens my stress, it refreshes my mind and soul and every time the water drench my  feet it feels like I am home.  One of my friends told me that there is a near place in the city where  I could  have some , I mean for unwind and t...
