KANTAR MEDIA SURVEY: RMN GENSAN REMAINS NUMBER ONE

Radio Mo Nationwide (DXMD 927.kHz) RMN General Santos remains the number one most listened radio station in General Santos City with the rate of  1.183%  and with the audience share rate of 52.056%, this is according to the latest KANTAR MEDIA survey as of this year 2013, KANTAR MEDIA officially designated by Kapisanan  Ng Mga Brodkaster  SA Pilipinas      ( KBP ) to conduct surveys who among the KBP member radio stations  mostly heard by the people in General Santos City. No doubt, even me,  could personally testify because I have been an avid listener of this station. News and information, public service, and radio entertainment like drama, RMN have it all.

RMN:  ON NEWS AND INFORMATION

RMN Gensan becomes the “wake up call” to every listener.  The program for news and current affairs has been properly delivered to the public.  One thing that I don’t like on other station is the sensationalized way of information delivery and this happens to others as to my personal opinion and observations. Nonetheless, RMN is always a model to every local station. In every beats of news, in every details of event they are so much reliable.

It is believed that one of the factors in reliability of information is the validity of sources, the primary sources.   In a radio station, since it is not visual prospective listeners may have doubts if such information is not properly disseminated, but if such reports has a clear “voice clips” from the interview then such report is valid and reliable. RMN has been dealing this situation all the time.

In terms of dealing issues, broadcasters from this station (RMN) deal them with much care. They purely touch issues libel-free.

RMN morning primetime program Straight to the Point ( STP) truly a straight to the point in terms of handling issues from national down to the local set-up.  Anchormen like Mr. Bong Gonzales and Mike Sarsaba are truly one of the examples of what a true broadcast journalist is.  Unbiased, balance , veracious and has strong sense of social responsibility , qualities of what a genuine journalist should in media industry.

 RMN : ON PUBLIC SERVICE

If you have relatives from  a far away areas and places where phone signals are not present and you have something important matters to say to your relatives then you can rely to RMN. Proven and tested on Public service.  Panawagan a common term which mean “announcement” this is a free service done by every local station. RMN is known to this aspects of information dissemination. Aside from the wonderful voice of Mr. Bryan Oñate who is in charge of Public Service Announcement and other on air free services like  Health and Insurance programs you can truly rely on the station  that your “panawagan”  could truly reached and heard by the concerned person. Ms. Ina Daven is also in charge of the program and other straight news.

RMN:  ON ENTERTAINMENT

Radio drama is the only entertainment that can be afforded by class D  type of people or people from mountainous areas where only radio station is the mode of information.  Since the existence of the RMN (DXMD) they always become the number one in terms of radio drama entertainment. Among the renown radio dramatists are Goliat and Teban, they are so funny. I haven’t meet them personally by the way.
