THE REMNANTS
It was Sunday in the morning when i started to arrange some of scattered test papers of my students when i noticed a picture fell down when I about stand up and drink a glass of water. It was an old picture a group of students sat down in a small bench and posed. It was me and my four friends. But one thing that reminds me of that photo was my long lost friend that until now I'm still searching for him. He was my best friend. I used to share to him about my life, my tribulations and even my dreams. My heart beats a little fast than the normal beating, i do not know why may be because the wonderful memories that we had was recalled for a moment. It was in my second year in college when I almost stop studying for i thought i could not go further, you know, my parents were penniless. It was him who kept on encouraging me to go and move on amidst the trials, unfortunately it was him who surrendered and end up his studies. I really don't know what were the reasons, he was so decisive that time and simply said the words "I HAVE TO STOP MY STUDIES JESS", those words almost lost my interest in studying, may be because i have no more a friend who would caress me every time i felt down.
After staring the photo, I went to the comfort room and as if I wash my face yet my tears were falling , i just hide it for my little brother was there helped me arrange the books. Those wonderful memories that we had was really a memorable one, we'd been so many places , we had so many memories yet all those were gone and the only thing that left was a remnant a simple photo that could reminisced the beautiful past.
