A Unique Celebration of My 26th Birthday: Instant Reunion with my Former Students and Friends

January 23, 2011 marks a significant event pf my life, it was my 26th birthday and considerably a unique, special and one of a kind celebration in my entire life. Before my natal day arrives my aunt and mom had already an advance celebration intended for me because at night they will be living to our wonderful place Balut Island. My aunt prepared Macaroni salad and other delicious food for their dinner. During meal time we were all laughing and I hugged my mother  and aunt. I  used to hug my mom and aunt every time I wanted to extend my gratitude, I have been doing it traditionally since high school and  mama and aunt would love it as I could sense. I know inside my heart that they really care for me and love me since I am mama’s first son who had finished a degree. For my aunt, she is very proud me. After few minutes, Brian my best friend from RMN a radio network and Arben my student came. We watched film while mama and my aunt prepared to de leave. Then after few hours, we all said goodbye to mama, my aunt and to my loving brother who happens to be our family hero. We had a great time with them. Then, Arben, Brian and I continued to watch film and finished it.

FRIENDSHIP REVELATION

Brian had been my best friend since college days, we are both members of debating society and I find him silent, profound, sensible, clever and most of all generous. He is a person with all humility and humbleness. He is a Filipino movie fanatic, every Sunday , he used to bring Filipino CD’s and DVD’s for our movie marathon with my other students and Arben. The day would not be as complete as I expect to without his phone message. No matter how busy he is but still he could manage to communicate me. I told Brian one time  through phone SMS “ Bry how could I thank you for all the goodness you have given me”  then he replied “It’s okay sir, as long as  it makes us happy, then I will do it for us and for you”  and with more SMS message containing  wonderful words of gratitude. I could still remember also, I celebrated Christmas with him, Rene, My sister Jessebel, my special someone Arnulfo and his friends. We ate a lot of delicious food and as usual watch film.  One thing tha I could really appreciate  Brian’s characteristics, the sense of being  generous and benevolence, he would not mind if how expensive the thing is as long as he want it for all of us in our group he would buy it. During my Birthday he prepared  a very delicious Filipino food the “Lumpia”. He is a mass communication graduate yet he knows technical aspects of cooking. He loves cooking any kind  of viands.
I know someday, he will succeed his life’s journey.

Here comes, a man with substance, the real icon of masculine, gregarious, Adonis-like body and face,  sympathetic, compassionate higher specie, Mr, Arben Villajos.  He is a new friend to me. We started our friendship last year 2010 when he enrolled at SMIT the school where I am employed. At first I was hesitant to get close to him because, well it is perhaps his status but then I told myself that I have to act professionally. Then, after knowing  him I  find it comfortable  talking and sharing my pangs of life  neither him. He used to ask opinions from me about life, about family and about the third sex life funny but true. He was very curious about third sex life because he revealed to me that he is not fond of befriending with those people though he respects them. Now that he transferred at SMIT Gensan , he said he started to befriended with them like his other friends and my student’s also ; Yangyang , Kim and other students at the school. One thing I like about his attitude is that his sincerity when he appreciates things , his compassion when he extends extra care to the person and his sense of being down-to-earth individual.
I know Arben will become somebody someday for he is persistent.

AND NOW THE MOST AWAITED DAY

January 23, 2011 - Its twelve midnight, I was not yet asleep my mind was very busy and eventful. I could not convince my nerves to stop bothering me. I used to feel this every time my natal day comes. I woke-up late and I was distracted by my cellular phone, kept on beeping, as I checked it approximately 20 SMS messages, greetings from my friends, co-workers like maam bong, my former students and even unknown numbers. I got busy on replying and saying thank you yet my eyes was half asleep. My hand is so busy typing the two important words THANK YOU.
After few minutes of lying I decided to stand-up roll the bed sheet and  kept the blankets. I wash my face , had  toothbrush and then took a glass of coffee. Few minutes my mind started to work on what’s the first thing to do. Its my sister Jessebel’s rest day and my younger sister Jesseluz manage to wash our laundry. I swept the floor and arranged all the books in the book shelf. I scrubbed the floors also I expected few visitors to come that day. Then, my sister Jesseluz prepared all the foods to be cooked since she is the in-charge of the entire cooking. I am so much proud of my graduating sister in BSHRM course.
We started preparing the food a around 1:00 clock in the afternoon. We  cooked Spaghetti, macaroni salad, chicken adobo, and a lot more. At 5: 00 o clock in the afternoon I went to the church lighted candle and asked blessings and guidance to the lord for all his goodness unto me and for giving me another year of my life. My birthday celebration is quite different from previous years as I compared it. After going to  church I went home , there my few visitors came. Ivan , Jovie, Jonathan, Noel, Arben, Bryan, Nicole, Margarito Cortez, Rene, Jovie’s Boyfriend BJ,  Cheng Cheng, Marlon, Yangyang, Kim, Dave, my half sister  Ate Che, May Cris and a lot more. Marlon brought me a cake and a gift it’s a book a wonderful and expensive book. Yang yang also gave me the same gift and a planner.  We ended my  Birthday celebration happily and I am wishing that next year would be happier and wonderful. I am so much thankful to Margarito my favorite student during his college time for singing  Somewhere Down The Road  when Bryan treated us at Popsie;s Diner.
January 24, 2011, Monday a late celebration was extended by Mam Bong and Sir Ding Solarte our second father at SMIT. I was so thankful and happy. They bought a cake for me, they bought food for all the faculty and staff and we ended the lunch a happy moment.  This has been the longest celebration of my natal. Momentous and significant day for me. GODSPEED
